Curve-toothed Geometer
Eutrapela clemataria
April 28, 2003
These just in! And they will be with me for the months that follow. The Curve-toothed geos are among the larger moths residing in my yard, especially with regard to the geometers.
The shades of brown they come in vary as the dead leaves they mimic. This one is on the lighter end of the scale.
They are hopelessly compelled to light and I would be surprised if you went through a season without having several of them peeking through your windows.
