The Cloaked Marvel!

  Sometimes the moth's name comes from a look at the caterpillar. Having seen a photo of one, I'd say the description comes from the moth. My guess is that the cloak refers to dark apical shading - like a cloak thrown over the shoulders (I see a tux with tails).

   According to Covell, this form is called iaspis.
