Arched Hooktip

This moth adds a new family to the site - the Drepanidae, or Hooktips.  They resemble geometridae, but aside from some of the less obvious differences, they can be told apart by those sickle-tipped wings.

I get two species of the drepanids in my yard - here's the other one.
