Luna Moth

Actias luna

Well, it's spring now.  The first luna (a silk moth, or saturniid) has made an appearance.

My mother, who was visiting when this moth arrived, modeling a male Luna.  The females are quite a bit larger (than the male Lunas, not my mother).
