Ambiguous Moth
Lascoria ambigualis
May 5, 2012
I don't know... I'm not really sure how I feel about this moth...
Well, at least the sex isn't ambiguous. The males can be told from the females by the notch at the end of the forewing. This one's a male.
L. ambigualis is in the Erebidae family. They are called "Litter Moths" because the larvae within their subfamily Herminiinae feed on leaf litter.
