Bent-line Carpet Moth
Orthonama centrostrigaria

There has been nuttin' happening mothwise in my yard - until the appearence of this raggy carpet moth at the porch light.

For those of you wondering, these are not the same moths that eat carpets.  They are in a completely different family.  These guys eat little weedy plants.
The photo on the left was taken October 12, 2010.  I often see them sitting with their wings held open in this position.

There's a lot of polygonum (smartweed) in the yard, which I believe they feed on.
