Common Lytrosis

This geometrid was attracted to the

front porch light last night. When I 

tried to pick it up, it flew into

the grass, and then up onto this

shelf fungus. Couldn't have asked 

more from it!

Lytrosis sounds like some kind of

disease, doesn't it...
